jobbyzone helps you find real openings and apply in your own words. To do that it keeps some information about you. This page says exactly what, in plain words, and it matches what the app actually does.

The short version

• We keep what you give us and what you do in the app, so the app can work for you.
• We never sell your information, never show you ads, and never share it with employers.
• There are no tracking cookies, analytics tools or advertising pixels. The only cookie keeps you signed in.
• You can download everything, change it, or delete your account whenever you like.

What we keep

• Your sign-in email, so we can send you sign-in codes. The codes themselves are stored only in a scrambled form, work for 10 minutes, and are cleared out once they've expired.
• The devices you're signed in on: when you signed in and the name your browser gives itself, so you can see them and sign them out on your Account page. The cookie that keeps you signed in is stored only in a scrambled form, and lasts 14 days.
• Your profile: your name, contact details, location, links, skills, experience, achievements and the answers you save for application forms.
• Your searches and preferences: the roles, places and company sizes you want to see.
• Your queue and applications: which roles you approved or passed on, the applications you're tracking and how they've moved along.
• Replies to your applications, if you use your application inbox address: who the message came from, its subject, when it arrived, the result of our safety check, and the first 4,000 characters of its text (for most emails, that is the whole message). Attachments are not kept.
• Links you choose to create, such as a shareable resume link or a Google Sheets link for your tracker, stored so they can work and so you can turn them off. The private part of a Google Sheets link is stored only in a scrambled form.

Where the jobs come from

The roles in your queue come from companies' own public career pages. Company facts, such as where a company is based and roughly how many people work there, come from public sources we check by hand.

Why we keep it

To run the service you asked for: showing you matching roles, tailoring your resume and cover letter from your own words, tracking your applications, and keeping your account secure. We don't use your information for anything else.

Who helps us run jobbyzone

Cloudflare hosts the app and its database, and sends and receives jobbyzone's email. Your information is stored in Cloudflare's data centres in North America. If you create a Google Sheets link and paste it into a sheet, Google fetches your tracker through that link, because you asked it to. Nobody else receives your information.

How long we keep it

For as long as you have an account. When you delete your account, everything above is removed straight away. Our database keeps a rolling 30-day recovery history in case something goes wrong, so a copy can remain there for up to 30 days before it's gone for good.

Your choices

• See and change your details on your Profile and Account pages.
• Download everything we hold about you with Download my data on your Account page.
• Delete your account and everything in it from your Account page.
• Sign out other devices, and turn off any link you created, whenever you like.
